Leased Lighting
Security Light
Rosebud Electric Cooperative offers security lighting to suit the many needs of our members. These requirements range from residential yard lighting to commercial business parking lots to architectural building lighting.
Yard Security Lighting
The most popular yard security lighting is offered on a monthly rental program. Under this program, the cooperative will install a light that will come on at dusk and turn off at dawn. These lights may be installed on cooperative owned poles. In most cases in the rural areas, these poles are the transformer or meter poles. In the towns they may include other poles.
Two sizes of lights are offered under the yard light program. One is the 100-watt high-pressure sodium ($4.94/month) and the other is the 250-watt high-pressure sodium ($7.02). The rental fee includes all electricity used by the light and any maintenance. The 250-watt light is generally used in areas where more light output is required. The 250-watt high-pressure sodium will produce three times more light than the 100-watt light.
Leased Lighting
Many businesses have a need for parking lot lighting, building lighting or just general security lighting that requires special equipment to maintain. Rosebud Electric's Leased Lighting program is designed to match these needs.
The cooperative will design, install and maintain a leased lighting system for cooperative members. The lease can be designed for any number of years but in most cases it is written for 10 years with the option of renewing on a yearly basis. A monthly lease fee is paid for the duration of the contract period. After the designated term of the lease a business may terminate the lease and purchase the system at a predetermined cost.
This program makes it easy for the member to own a security lighting system without a large capital expense along with not having the burden of maintaining the system for you.
